As Gucci approaches its 90th anniversary, they’ve marked the historic occasion with an equally brilliant ad campaign:“Forever Now”.
Gucci creative director Frida Giannini is using different methods in homage: the black and white still photos from the factory in Florentine, were published in newspapers throughout the world, timed with the fashion house’s show in Milan.
Gucci will also add the birth year, 1921, to new products. “Reintroducing a historic model takes time because first of all, you need to develop the concept in your head,” said Giannini. The collection, however, will not be limited to the stoic black and whites they are known for, Giannini added, “This collection will be very graphic, sleek and frisky. I’m very happy with the color palette, which includes camels, red, black and lots of shine for evening." (lookbooks.com)
